Cut-off date

« Back to Glossary Index

The cut-off date is the date by which the containers must be delivered to the port for them to be accepted on their planned sailing. Aside from some possible exceptions, the cut-off date is always an earlier date (typically by 12, 24 or 48 hours) than the vessel planned arrival one.

You may encounter 2 cut-off dates – one for the delivery of the container and one for the provision of the Verified Gross Mass.
