Reach stacker

« Back to Glossary Index

Reach stackers are used for container handling. They grab containers lengthwise and can easily stack them on a stack of containers – including a second-row stack by reaching over the first row.
With their lifting capacity which can reach 45 metrics tons they can also move containers over short distances inside a terminal.
They are used to offload containers from container chassis, arriving trailers, or to independently reposition containers inside a terminal.
