Mobile crane

« Back to Glossary Index

Mobile cranes are used when no local equipment is able to lift or offload the cargo. Occurs typically in smaller ports with no available, suitable, or working shore cranes or at work sites.
Cranes, such as the below one (130 tons lift) or heavier duty (200+ metric tons lift) or even massive floating cranes commonly able of lifting items of 1000+ metric tons, will be mobilized and brought to the port for the loading/offloading operations.
